Kohima is the capital city of India's north eastern state of Nagaland. It is the second largest city in the state. Kohima was founded in 1878 when the British Empire established its headquarters of the then Naga Hills. It officially became the capital after the state of Nagaland was inaugurated in 1963.
Subsequently the people from Phom community started to come and settle in Kohima to serve the state government also to find other avenues for their livelihood. However, as the times passed by, they gradually encountered one major impediment, i.e., their spiritual health.
